In 2023, as a gift for our clients, suppliers, and collaborators, we decided to create a calendar with the following statement:

 

We only recently realized that according to the ancient Galattico Calendar tradition, 2023 is the year of the cats in space. A noble yet forgotten history, where felines have been exploring the depths of the unknown since the dawn of time. Today—as we all know—cats are considered true astronauts, but it’s important to remember the history and lives of the cats who contributed significantly to the discovery of new planets and the exploration of the universe, inspiring generations of explorers to come. This calendar is dedicated to them.

 

What followed were 12 stories, one for each month, about spacefaring cats, written and illustrated using early commercial AI tools—far more primitive than those in use today, prone to error and imprecision, which became a unique language we leaned into to build this project.
